My love of dogs was acquired from my father. He’s the kind of man that could settle and attract any dog, regardless of their temperament. They trusted him and he taught me the value of a soft voice and easy hand. He gave me a Poodle, named “Pepe” and I trained him to do every trick in the book. From there, I purchased a German Shepherd, “Sport” and we got involved with Obedience competition. I was lucky enough to work with an excellent trainer in Saratoga, Art Sylvia. He worked with us and we became involved with Art in training the Police Dogs for the City of Saratoga and San Jose in 1975. This started a career as an Obedience Instructor for 14 years. I was also involved in showing horses. A horse friend of mine had a show Irish bitch from the Thenderin lines. She bred her and had 13 males in the litter. I was ready for a new dog and Spencer came to me at 12 weeks. He would be my first but not last Irish Setter. Thenderin Vintage Elite, CD and I competed on the Obedience circuit until he suffered a broken leg. That retired him but not me… I was hooked. I purchased another Thenderin bitch in order to breed back to Spencer. This resulted in the start of Roclyn Irish Setters

Since that time, I have bred many Champions and National Sweeps winners. Many are posted on my Site. I continue to be active with the parent club, Irish Setter Club of America. I enjoy conformation and still dabble in the Obedience Field. My pups are all raised by hand in my home. I have occasional litters to further my own breeding program. Please enjoy visiting my site and inquiries are always welcome
